The albatross has a huge wingspan.
It can measure more than three meters from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other.
That’s about twice the length of you!
These giants of the sky use their large wings to glide above the sea for days without stopping.
And can even give their feathers a quick groom while they’re in the air!
Albatrosses spend most of their lives at sea, only heading back to land to lay their eggs and raise their chicks.
They can live for up to 50 years.
During that time, they’ll fly millions of kilometers – enough to circle the Earth more than 100 times!
